This miso is also known as "dengaku miso" in Japan, referring to the traditional dish "dengaku," where vegetables or tofu are grilled and served with a sweet miso sauce. Goma miso brings a touch of simplicity and comfort to anything it is paired with. We take the time to carefully roast our sesame seeds before adding mirin, sesame oil, and most importantly, maple syrup. As the maple syrup slowly caramelizes, it accentuates the natural sweetness of the miso.
